Hi team.

I needs a small clarification.

In my company when ever they are getting a short term project, its being
started with Agile. Is it a right way.

In other way, Is agile something reducing project duration?.

Thanks,
Vedha

It /can/ reduce the project duration, but won't necessarily.  The main
point of using an Agile process is to more reliably steer to a
successful conclusion.

I would say that it depends on which is more important, producing the
intended value or finishing quickly.  If just getting something done
quickly is more highly valued that the utility and quality of the
result, agile might not be the best approach.

Your quote is quite appropriate.
