Regarding Master and Slave

Hi Matt,

I have a doubt regarding synchronizing the clock for two USRP's. I want to use one as a Master and the other as Slave. I read the info given on the gnuradio web page (Clocking Notes for USRP) and from that I understand that there are some hardware changes that need to be done on the receiver motherboard (I have USRP rev 4.5, and I am using RFX 900 boards). But I was wondering is there a way around (can I do it in Software?) other than the hardware changes?.
