Hi,

I have tried all the possibilities of configuring OpenSSL version: openssl-0.9.8k for (chil) nCipher hardware engine support and I was not able to get it working.

I have performed the following steps:

1: Installed the openssl-0.9.8k on Linux: CentOS release 5.4 (Final)

2: Then I adjusted the LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/nfast/toolkits/hwcrhk:

3: Then also when I am running the following command:

[root@utility1 etc]# openssl engine -t chil

(chil) CHIL hardware engine support

     [ unavailable ]

Please look into this issue and help me out, as this is very critical to our production release and we are not able to move forward with the nCipher netHSM hardware tool to generate the key without the openSSL working with CHIL engine.

Regards,

Sandeep Singh
