Regarding help for porting

Hello sir,
                 I am trying to port gnowsys on MAC OS but i not getting the full idea of the dependencies of gnowsys and also when i run gnowsys on my ubuntu first time it works properly but when i restart my PC it got hanged becuse of some reason and again i have to install ubuntu in that please help me to resolve these problem.
