Kudos to Miss Hibionada for a very well written article. America did fall asleep on the wheel going 90 mph down the superpower highway. Though they still remain on course, no doubt about that, their reckless handling of intelligence information leading to the 9/11 disaster has immensely opened the eyes of those who for the longest time thought that America being the superpower that it is, with trillions of dollars spent on defense and intelligence each year, cannot be inflicted with so much terror right in its own backyard. Let alone by only a handful of people armed with nothing but an unwavering devotion to their cause and box cutters. Perhaps America had already forgotten about Pearl Harbor. Now those residing in america not only have to worry about traffic jams, rising gas prices and if youre a fil-am, rising door-to-door cargo fees, but you also now have to worry about being terrorized right in your backyard. By that i dont mean your neighbor's dog leaving it's territorial blessings on your lawn. I also dont mean to say that anybody you see carrying a box cutter is a terrorist, he could also be wearing a Forex shirt:) thanks again Miss hibionada for writing this article...a much much needed remembrance.
