Removing caption

Hello,

In the man page, I see the option to always have caption on, but
nothinga bout removing it. Can you please help me remove the caption
seen at http://i35.tinypic.com/n5q8u8.jpg ?

There must be a configuration setting I haven't found that places the
bar at the bottom of screen sessions which can be forced to be always off.

Try
caption splitonly
with no second argument. Works for me (on Debian).
