Rendering separations failures when transparency in PDF

Hello,

I am generating from the PDF both the composite image with bmp16m device
and the separations with tiffsep device.

With the latest version of Ghostscript 8.70 transparency handling is better.
But there are still glitches while renderring some PDFs with transparency
( crashes or blank pages ) especially when using the tiffsep device to
generate
the separations.

Are the improvements to the transparency in the 8.70 version applied to all
devices or is it specific to those rendering composite images?

Best Regards,
Nikolai Tasev

Hi Nikolai,

This mail ended up in the spam folder for me, and may well have done so for
other engineers. The usual technique to avoid this is to add 'xefitra' to
the subject line of any gs-devel emails. Not a guarantee but it helps.

In general the improvements in transparency rendering are applicable to all
devices, since the work was mostly done in the transparency compositor
device (and other areas of the interpreter).

If you are encountering problems you should raise these as bug reports at
