Re: Repast and fipaI can't see much benefit that FIPA brings to a predator-prey model, as
it mostly has to do with things like the semantics of communication between intelligent agents. Unless your agents are doing negotiation or something (which I don't think is a normal part of predator prey relationships) it probably won't help, and it can be rather a heavyweight protocol. One place you could look is in the JADE toolkit, which does do FIPA compliant communication - you might be able to grab all the message passing classes from there. That said, FIPA messaging might be a useful addition to RepastS in general, especially the bits for defining protocols of interaction between agents.
