RequestHello Robby, and list readers
First, as usal, thanks again for tellico, which I use nearly daily currently to store my numerous CDs, DVDs, Comics, ... Concerning CDs, I'd have one request: Do you think it's possible/easy to add a new function. I'm importing my CDs from the media itself. Thus the cover picture is never put in place. I'd like to update just that (and also potentially the Amazon link which I also do not get), but not the rest of fields, as I already pass a lot of time normalizing them, compared to what CDDB provides. Does it sound useful to others ? Feel free to give me a pointer to the portion of code that I need to hack to help myself, if you don't think it's interesting for you to do it. But it also updates all the other fields, which I don't want as I try to keep them clean. Especially Title. Would it be possible to have an option to update only fields not already filled when using that menu entry ? Yes. It's cleared. And indeed it doesn't "overwrite" data, but "append" to them. Did you have your title field set to allow multiple values? I think that may have been what was going on. I have most of the fields in fact set to allow multiple values (including title) Thanks for the fix, I'll try as soon as possible. I re-test that feature with the latest SVN of yesterday, and it seems that now nothing is imported at all. So at least it doesn't break my setup, but I need to look closer to see whether the disk is found through Amazon e.g. or not, and then some values such as Image imported. (My process up to now is to use CDDB to inititate the entry in tellico and try to complete with values coming from Amazon and other sources). CDDB lookup was broken until tonight. It's something I was working on...evidently, the cddb signature calculation changed, and I didn't realize it... However, I'd like to understand how you make the various queries during the Update query, as my try to get the cover for Toto IV e.g. didn't succeed with all sources.
