<br><br>/usr/local/www/rt38 is actually meant to be empty. It's the location for installing
<br>customizations and add-on RT packages.
<br><br>Look at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site-perl/5.10.1/RT, /usr/local/share/rt38 and /usr/local/etc/rt38 for the majority of the code.
<br><br>Looks like you have actually managed to get RT installed successfully: all you
<br>need now is to set up the database, sort out the Apache config and start using it.

<br>other), your best bet is probably to use fetchmail to poll and pipe mail

<p class=MsoNormal>I’ve implemented at my former employer a few years ago
and loved it so I want my new company to buy into it.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span>My current employer is supportive
towards it so far but wants to know it’s shortcomings so they can see if
any of them would prevent us from being able to use it.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>For me, I love it ‘s ease of use, but the short coming
I would see is the lack of Project Management .<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>They are also asking about CRM type stuff, so the sales
folks can keep track of leads and email our customer press releases or
announcements.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Anything else?<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>We currently used <span class=SpellE>DotProject</span> for
project Management Stuff and CVS for Developer version control..anyone linked

subscribe to an external email provider...does this work with RT?<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span>I know with RT set up an email server on
the Linux box, but can this interact with an external provider?...Since email
is<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span>HUGE reason for enabling such a
system, I’m wondering how that would work?<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span>Is it just a matter of setting up a
forwarding an account on the Linux box?<o:p></o:p></p>

<br>Everything is implemented but the forward of the ticket is done by
<br>email and that means I need to bind an email to the remote RT, and I
<br>have a delay due to fetchmail. I'd like to replace this by REST. Once
<br>it's smart and clean, I'll share this because this feature is
<br>dramatically useful in our company and I think it'll be useful for
<br>others.

<br>Yes you are understanding correctly. The column data and column names did not match up for the custom fields. I believe I found the problem. In the Results.tsv file at line 110 the sort call had $a on both sides of the <=>. It was previously this:

<br><br><br><br>I upgraded 3.8.2 to both 3.8.6 and 3.8.7 in a test environment copied from my production installation.
<br><br>In both versions I have had problems with the spreadsheet function. At first, it changed output from the previous version by outputting all custom fields, even ones not related to the queue I was exporting. That was fixed when I installed the Parse::BooleanLogic cpan module.
<br><br>Now the problem is that the CF column headers are mixed up. So for example the CF-FirstName column heading would be over the LastName Data.
<br><br>Is anyone else having this problem? Is this a bug?

<br><br>Regarding your second question, that is really not a good idea.
<br>The first part ("user") is not guaranteed to be unique across
<br>all mail domains. This will result in misdirected tickets when
<br>email addresses containing the same "user" part get dumped in
<br>the first one to log a ticket's queue.

<br>The usernames are without domainname. It works, I'm happy.
<br><br>I have a form that does ticket creation via email.
<br>Users are automaticcally created but with the domainname in them. This
<br>make me not so happy :-)

<br>Set($CanonicalizeEmailAddressMatch, '@onvz\.nl$');
<br>Set($CanonicalizeEmailAddressReplace, '');
<br><br>To strip the incoming domainname but it does not work.

<br><br>i was wandering if anybody had the requirement to implement an RTIR where the client should have the possibility to define incidents as confidentially (which have, for example, sensitiv logs attached).
<br><br>My requirement is that such an incidents and it's associated reports are only able to be accessed by persons personally added by the head of Investigation, to keep the exposure on an minimum level.
<br><br>Any ideas how this could be implemented? i searched the wiki but there's not much going on for RTIR, any points and hints would be greatly appreciated.

<div>I originally setup a demo of rt using debian squeeze, which was pretty much apt-get install blah blah and then edit some text files. I am trying to setup the most current version on debian stable (lenny) and having a pretty difficult time. After installing
from source, eventually the apache process consumes 99% of resources, before the end of a day. And that’s with no one using it.</div>

<div>So my main question is with ./configure. I am using modperl and I am just doing ./configure, make testdeps, make fixdeps. I noticed make testdeps shows the –with-fastcgi option. Does that matter if I am using modperl? Do I need to rerun ./configure
using the –with-modperl option?</div>
