Require user justification for registration

I manage a number of Yahoo groups, and I find one of the most effective way to weedout registration by spammers, is to require users to provide a short explanation of why they want to join this group. Spam robots are not able to do this, and even human spammers usually don't have the time to actually read the site to figure out what it's about. Here's the prompt I use:

"As a way to fight spammers, please type a sentence or two explaining why you want to joing FORUM XYZ. It should make it clear that you understand what FORUM XYZ is about."

Is there a way to do this in Tiki?

If you're using a registration tracker, you can add this as a required field that must be completed. But I don't think there is any validation on the actual entry. BTW, are you using the CAPTCHA on your registration form?
