Hello guys,

I'm joining this team on testing efforts and what I have in mind is to produce automated scripts to test GFP screens and strenght the regression and, as they evolve, the new functionalities. I'm researching now some free tools that work fine and produce good scripts (I don't want a simple macro recorder... I must have a powerful tool to find bugs, if they exist). Does anyone know a good free tool for java testing? I use to work with Quick Test Professional at work.

Hi people!

Dina has joined us on this list, she was testing GFP on past month and filling up several small GFP bug report on project page. Her tests are concerned about GFP features, some of you are focused on specific platform, and many of those errors will be present on all platforms. There is nothing avoiding you to look for more errors and post them on Bug Report tool. I may take some time to fix those errors, since I only one person :-), if some one have Java code skills and wants to point the fix I will be glad on use the fix or adapt it if necessary, since GFP is an open source software, the priority is the quality of project design, not just feature bug fixing; the fixes must be adequate to actual software architecture.

Dina will be traveling for next 2 months and will be not sending messages for this list, but she told me she will use the list to get synchronized with project dev. news; so lets go!
