Restrict Senders plugin

Hi,
We are using Squirrel Mail 1.4.10a as our college mail service. Due to some spam problem we tried to restrict the senders using the "Restrict Sender" plugin v1.4. The plugin has some options like controlling the number of recepients at a time and the number of messages that can be sent in a certain period of time. The former works but the latter does not work. Can anyone suggest a solution for this please? ----------------------------------------- This email was sent using TCEMail Service.
