Rome 1.0?How do people feel about releasing what is in CVS at the moment as 1.0?
I produced some test jars (https://rome.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=11069&expandFolder=11069&folderID=11069) a couple of weeks ago and haven't heard any complaints. The current CVS version is quite close to RC2 anyway - the biggest difference was the changes I made to expose WireFeed. Re: Rome 1.0?Wow, congrats Nick, Robert, Alejandro, Dave Johnson, Mark Woodman, MarcWick, Laird, Hani and all the Romans who participated to rome development one way or another in the past 5 years!
I have not contributed anything to the project in the past 4 years, and was so proud of you when I saw: Latest ROME release: - rome-1.0.jar The first measure of an open source project's success is not really the number of users or downloads, but the size, longevity and activity of its developer's community: with the release of rome 1.0 by the rome-dev team five years after its creation, I confidently claim that Rome is a successful project. My hats to you, Romans!
