Hi,
I'd like to be able to translate SCSI (or at least,
SCSI-style) addresses as given by cdrecord's -scanbus output back to a windows
drive letter.
I can look at the windows management
instrumentation properties of all the available optical drives, but the SCSI bus
properties often aren't populated in those structures. This makes sense, because
they're really not SCSI devices, even if they use SCSI commands over
ATAPI.
Are the addresses meaningful in any way, or is it
just a system developed for cdrecord that has no external meaning? I'd
understand if it was, since it would be portable across platforms, but I'd like
to be able to look up the drive letters if I can.
P
