SMTP-QuickSend

Hi,

I need help in two areas.

(1) A few months ago as I was looking over an email from the 4D List,
it made reference to a couple of 4d 3rd party developer (?) sites.

As I view one site, I came across SMTP-QuickSend. I was able to
download it without any trouble.

I have been using SMTP-QuickSend for a couple of months now and all
had been working smoothly.

A couple of weeks ago, 4D announced their upgrade to 2004.

So I upgraded my 4D 2004.7 with 4D 2004.8.

After the installation, I started my database and SMTP-QuickSend was
no longer recognised by 4D. Rather, 4D now recognizes it as a
variable. Obviously, my email from 4D no longer works.

I need to install SMTP-QuickSend again, but I can't find where I got
it from.

Does anyone have any idea where it might have been. It was a free
download.

(2) As well as this, after my update from 2004.7 to 2004.8, my help
file now only contains items relating to the Menu only.

What happened to the entire language commands that I found so useful?

I found this tech note on 4D's website ...

4D Online Help Installation process (Apple Viewer format)

This document explains how to install or update the 4th Dimension
online help under Mac OS.X.
It also applies to the 4D Server application (just replace “4th
Dimension” by “4D Server” in the following instructions).

1. Download the "4th_Dimension_Help" file from the 4D FTP server, then
decompress it on your disk.
A folder named [4th Dimension Help] appears.
2. Control-click (or right-click) on your 4D package icon, then choose
"Show package content" from the pop-up menu.
You can then see the package internal structure, containing a set of
files and folders.
3. Open the [Contents] then [Resources] folders.
Note that the [Resources] folder contains a subfolder named
[language.lproj] (where “language” is the current language of the
application)..
4. Copy your [4th Dimension Help] folder into the [language.lproj]
subfolder.

Once the process is completed, launch your 4D application. The "4th
Dimension Help" command of the Help menu is active and provides access
to 4D online help via Apple Viewer.

Step 1 and 2 were fine.
When I tried step 3, the [Contents] or the [Resources] folders were
not there.
In my folder were two files (4D Help.html; 4th Dimension Help idx) and
one folder (V6US).

Any help as to where do I go from here?

Michael.
