SUCH IS LIFE - Swelc sy droht?

Hello,

I am currently a studying to be a school teacher at an Australian University.

I am curious as to the term "such is life" in Old English.

Is the term written in Old English, "Swelc sy droht" OR "Swelc sy drohtaþ" or am I completely wrong altogether? And therefore whould this image written be correct?
