SVN access for Tine 2.0 developerHello Admins!
As reuqested by multiple people we would like to move our svn to the eGroupWare.org svn. How can we continue to get the needed svn accounts for the Tine 2.0 developers which are not yet members of the eGroupWare project? Re: SVN access for Tine 2.0 developer
Thank you for moving forward on this. From the admin perspective, I
suppose we need to know who and what. But I will need to discuss this
with them as well, hopefully not too much later today.

Re: SVN access for Tine 2.0 developerHi Admins,
'what' is easy to solve :-) You can fetch the repository here: rsync -av officespot-cs.svn.sourceforge.net::svn/officespot-cs/* . i would suggest to import it into braches/tine20 can you give us a note when you want to migrate it? Just to prevent that we make commits after you pulled the svn repo. cu conny Am 17.12.2007 um 14:14 schrieb Miles Lott: > Thank you for moving forward on this. Re: SVN access for Tine 2.0 developerHi Conny,
I need to postpone that a bit :-( The rsync was not problem, but we still use subversion 1.3 on dev.egroupware.org (which is a FC5 installation). The newer subversion 1.4+ can deal with the old repository format (3), but I could not find a subversion 1.4 rpm for FC5 so quick. I already checked the subversion packages in rh/centos 5, work well with the tine repository. I give it an other try later. Maybe a new rpm rebuilds on FC5 correct. Updating the whole egroupware.org box is on my list, but I dont want to do that from remote, so it will not be in the next 2 month. If you or Lars want to give it a try to install subversion 1.4, you both have root access to the box. We need to update subversion on dev.egroupware.org and additionally mod_dav_svn on www.egroupware.org. Re: SVN access for Tine 2.0 developerHi Ralf,
i'm not an expert of svn.. After a bit of googeling i think the procedure of upgrading from 1.3 to 1.4 is the following. dump svn repo delete repo upgrade / reinstall svn packages (if you found them) convert dumpfile reinsert dumpfile hope and pray that it works. I don't want to be the one who killed the egroupware svn repo in this situation :-). So lets postpone it as you sugested. cu conny Am 19.12.2007 um 22:15 schrieb Ralf Becker: > Hi Conny, > > I need to postpone that a bit :-( > > The rsync was not problem, but we still use subversion 1.3 on > dev.egroupware.org (which is a FC5 installation). > > The newer subversion 1.4+ can deal with the old repository format (3), > but I could not find a subversion 1.4 rpm for FC5 so quick. Re: SVN access for Tine 2.0 developerHi Conny,
according to subversion.tigris.org's 1.4 releasenotes, the repository get's updated automatic. There are no manual steps required. Wim from Stylite created subversion 1.4.6 rpms (just released yesterday) for us and I updated dev.egroupware.org and www.egroupware.org now to 1.4.6. I also rsync'ed the tine repo again, so you should now be able to switch to: svn+ssh://svn@.../tine or http://svn.egroupware.org/tine There's still a problem with viewvc, I need to look into, so tine does not yet show up in viewvc. Could you please move the egroupware20 branch/folder inside the repository to tine. I have not done it myself, as I dont want to break anything in your install stuff. If people need to switch the URL now, they can also switch to tine instead of egroupware20 in one go. I have not yet received the svn keys from the other metaways developers (best together with their sf.net usernames). I dont know how good I will be reachable in the next 10 days, before I arrive in Australia. Feel free to add the keys yourself, but please brief them to stick to the tine repository, 'til they become full egroupware developers. I have no time to create a technical restriction (svn acl) right now. Ralf Cornelius Weiss schrieb: > Hi Ralf, > > i'm not an expert of svn..
