Scatter data points too small

When I use the scatter(x,y,s) function, no matter what value I pass to s, the
data points are always a single pixel and very hard to see. Is there a bug, and
if so, is there a fix? I'm running Octave 3.0.1.

I encounter this same problem.  I'm using Octave 3.0.1 on Ubuntu 8.10.
