Scheduleworld no longer free. Other alternatives? There was some discussion on this list recently about scheduleworld.
For those interested, it looks like scheduleworld is revoking free access in four days, and will thereafter levy a fee of $33.98 USD plus tax per annum for all sync/mail features. http://wiki.scheduleworld.com/wiki/ScheduleWorld_2.0 Can anybody recommend a free service on the net that will allow me to keep PIM data in sync across multiple hosts? Or, perhaps as an alternative, I could host my own syncml server (funambool?). Re: Scheduleworld no longer free. Other alternatives?I would go for running your own server (but I have a particular issue with
my data being on other people's servers - YMMV). As an alternative to funambol you could look at http://horde.org/sync/ - it doesn't look as slick/mature/whatever as Funambol, but OTOH it already exists as Debian packages, which is a big plus for me. (ISTR last time I looked at Funambol there was an issue with its freeness, but I can't remember what the problem was.) We all would also appreciate if you could update the particular peer page: http://opensync.org/wiki/peers/scheduleWorld here is a template for it: http://opensync.org/wiki/devel/peerTemplate Tuju -- Better to have one, and not need it, than to need one and not have it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The NEW KODAK i700 Series Scanners deliver under ANY circumstances!
