If I want to search a song for curse words is this possible with sox?  The actual sounds of a curse words?

No, you would need voice recognition software to do this but even that may struggle in the presence of music.

Maybe somebody could implement MPEG-7 in SoX for the beginning? It could
be good subject for a master degree.
