Searching in encrypted documents

Hi all,

I wanted to know if there are any way to look for keywords in encrypted documents, such as pdf. Is this possible?

search works in 'normal' pdf document. How do you encrypted your pdf ?

When you try to open an encrypted pdf, the pdf reader ask you for a password/key, so I wanted to know if I can store documents in Nuxeo with their key. This way, Nuxeo could open it automatically.

Do you understand me?

That's an interesting feature we had not considered yet.
If the password is stored together with the document then it's technically possible to extract the text for fulltext indexing, as the pdftotext extractor that we use has support for passing a password.
PDF2TextConverter could be extended to get the password from the DocumentModel.
Could you open a feature request in JIRA?
