That's a very odd set up, could it be 2 cranks end to end ?

That would make some sense, 2 cranks form a V2 "slave"
engine.  ( End 2 cyl off the V10 )  That way the discs with
the heavy metal riveted in would make some sense, otherwise
it's got me fooled ??

V4s in such a hish state of tune can be found on GP bikes like the Desmosedicci or HRC V4 etc.  I'd lean towards Ducati on that one.

I wonder if those disks and rivets are not real rivets but fine tuning balancing thinghies, where by otating each in different direction there is different CG on each one?  So they can swap piston sets of various kinds without having to fill and redrill the crankshaft.

No way it's out of a V4 engine, racing or otherwise, it's
too wide and the weighed discs are too heavy.

No, I'd say just holding heavy metal slugs in.

If it is one piece, then it's out of a 4 cylinder "slave" engine,
possibly using the last 6 cylinders off the V10, without pistons
in the centre pots.  ( the 2 discs with heavy metal slugs are
mimicking the missing throw ? )
