Program Manager - International

 Our client, a rapidly-growing developer and integrator of physical security systems, including perimeter security, security video (CCTV, DVR) and access control, is seeking a Program Manager for its Central NJ office.  

This position will require up to 50% travel, most of it to the Middle East.

General Position Summary:

The Product Manager position requires a bachelors degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering or related discipline - MBA or PMI certified preferred – combined with 5+ years experience in a role as project manager with programs worth $3- 5 MM in the telecom or defense industries working with multi-disciplined teams.

Major Responsibilities & Tasks:

Accountabilities:
This key position will be responsible for a series of Security/Defense Industry projects and coordination internal development activities. The roles are summarized as follows:

Project Management: The position is responsible for managing an engineering and construction project throughout its full life-cycle. This includes front-end bid response, project planning, estimating, and project schedule creation & construction coordination. The role is key in providing oversight through all stages of the project to ensure that each phase is executed efficiently, effectively, and in concert with our construction partners. This position is primarily responsible for cost and schedule performance of each assigned project reporting to upper management. Projects may be deliverable to internal or external customers requiring high degree of coordination and negotiation with end user.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Job Specifications:
Knowledge:

·         Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.
·         MBA or PMI certified preferred

Experience:

·         5+ years experience in a role as senior project manager with programs worth +$5M in the telecom or defense industries working with multi-disciplined teams.

·         Excellent organizational and project management skills.

·         Demonstrated knowledge of setting up and working with SOW, WBS, work plans, and earned value management.

·         Demonstrated knowledge of program financial management.

·         Demonstrated experience in managing and negotiating requirements in a government-contracting environment.

·         Expertise in project management tools including MS Project

·         Leadership, communication, and personal skills commensurate with the role.

·         High level of proficiency in MS Office tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

 

Residency Requirements:

·         Must be a US Citizen
·         A valid US Passport is required

Travel Requirements:

·         Must be willing and able to travel domestically or internationally (50 %+) to support customer activities.  Extreme environmental conditions such as working in sun and heat, etc.) are probable.
