Responsibilities
• Worked with a large Government Agency to successfully complete a
NetBackup 6.5x migration and upgrade project.
• Assisted in managing a NetBackup 6.5 environment. .
• Provided NetBackup 65.x troubleshooting subject matter expertise via a
combination of workshops and informal sessions to a Government Agency
• Assisted a Government Agency with the design, implementation, patch upgrades,
daily monitoring, and maintenance of the NetBackup 6.5 environment
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications
• Industry Experience
• A typical expert resident has over 6 years experience as an IT industry
professional. The resident has experience in designing, implementing, and
managing complex NetBackup solutions for large IT infrastructures.
• Breadth of experience across a wide number of industries, including Telecommunications Aerospace and Defense, and Government.
Areas of Expertise
• Implement NetBackup solutions on heterogeneous platforms spanning across
Windows and major flavors of UNIX operation systems.
• Integrate NetBackup Client agents with database applications like Microsoft
Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle
• Serve as subject matter expert on Backup Industry best practices, backup
success rate improvements, capacity planning, and provide knowledge transfer to client teams.
• Conversant in a broad range of backup, storage, and virtualization technologies.
Operating Systems/Platforms
• Hewlett Packard HP-UX 11/11i
• IBM OS/400 5.2/5.3
• Microsoft Windows 2000/2003
• Red Hat Linux 4.0/5.0
• Sun Solaris 8/9/10
Education
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional
experience
• NetBackup 6.5 Training for Symantec Consultants
Security Clearance: TS/SCI
Full Scope Polygraph requred
