Setting time format

My system time is in the 24 hour format in BIOS with no option to change to the
12 hour format. I'd like to have my time read in the 12 hour format in Mandriva
One 2009, is there any way I can set it? I've looked through everything I can
think of in both the man pages and the HOWTO's but don't seem to come up with
anything about setting the format.
