Setting time formatMy system time is in the 24 hour format in BIOS with no option to change to the 12 hour format. I'd like to have my time read in the 12 hour format in Mandriva One 2009, is there any way I can set it? I've looked through everything I can think of in both the man pages and the HOWTO's but don't seem to come up with anything about setting the format. THanks. ---- Msg sent via CableONE.net MyMail - http://www.cableone.net |

Rt click on it and you get a little pop up. Lt click date and time format. You get the KDE control module. Select time and date and then time format. You want pH:MM:SSAMPM. Gary |

If you're using KDE4: Open up System Settings, click on the “Regional & Language” icon and select Country/Region & Language . Then, click on the “Time & Dates” tab, and change the time format from “HH:MM:SS” to “pH:MM:SS AMPM”. You’ll probably need to restart the desktop. I don't know about other WM's Jim |

Several people answered this question with a clear explanation. I don't understand this solution. Can someone please explain this formula? Right now I have no clue what this means. This is the command to get the system to display the imes as per your request, in a console or in a script. It was not clear from your question that waht you wanted was to change the time the WM displays.
