I think you have some drum patterns set up in Hydrogen and some other tracks set up in Rosegarden, and you want Hydrogen and Rosegarden to start playing at the same time, so they will be synchronized. If this is true, you want to tell both applications to sync to JACK transport. I made some attempt at explaining how to do that in this tutorial. Look for "Hydrogen as a Sequencer" and read from there: http://rosegardenmusic.com/tutorials/supplemental/hydrogen/ -- D. Re: Setting up measures per "bar"Dear Fabricio,
So you would like to start jack, then start Rosegarden in hopes that they will play at the same rate....without a transport control like jack to talk between the two applications there is no guarantee that the two applications will stay in sync. over time. but it sounds like this is what you would like to do....so you will need to adjust either Hydrogens tempo or RG's tempo. In RG's mainWindow: Composition -> Add Tempo Change... apply change to whole document. NOTE: as stated earlier the is no guarantee the two programs will stay synced. I'm almost certain it will not--for any meaningful length of time. I hope this helps.
