Hi

I just installed Shark 2.4.1 on JBoss 4.2 with RHEL 5.3 Linux today and
it seems to startup and run reasonably well, until you go to the Shark
Web Client application.

I can login OK after making the usual change to login-config.xml, but
when I try to add a user, I get the following error.

EE03CA86;  Context info - ; Class -
org.enhydra.shark.webclient.presentation.UserHandlerPO
2009-06-18 15:02:17,921 INFO
[org.enhydra.shark.webclient.SharkWebClient]
ParticipantMappingHandlerPO.po;event=null;Application
path:/sharkWebClient/; SID=D1DD3B918F65BA272DBD1448EE03CA86;  Context
info - ; Class -
org.enhydra.shark.webclient.presentation.ParticipantMappingHandlerPO
2009-06-18 15:02:17,938 ERROR [STDERR] java.io.FileNotFoundException:
c:/participantmappinghandler.xml (No such file or directory)
2009-06-18 15:02:17,938 ERROR [STDERR] at
java.io.FileOutputStream.open(Native Method)

I think this must be a Windows file location that the system is looking
for. Does anyone have any idea of a workaround for this, or know when
will a fix be available

Hi,

unfortunately, we have a "bug" in SharkWebClient...during development we
logged some information into the file (for debugging purpose), and this
code was not removed afterwards. This is the reason some Pages are not
working on Linux.

Attached are the patched classes from SharkWebClient, if you replace the
appropriate classes inside SharkWebClient distribution for JBoss it
should work properly.

Regards.
Sasa.

Hi Sasa

Thanks for the updates. I haven't been able to install them
successfully, although I will try a couple of different things  today.
Will these be published on the website?

Also I am seeing display problems with Firefox (on Linux), when I login
to the Shark Web client. Say for instance when you click on the Users
list and there is only one user present: this user name takes up the
complete height of the screen. This is in contrast to the behaviour in
IE7, where it appears to work normally. Are you using some new display
framework here that does not sit comfortably with Firefox.

Regards, Sean
