Movement starts about 03:00 EDT and is pretty much finished by noon. The
weather over here has truly sucked for the past 4 days.

Jordan taunted us with:

[Dave]  I hope the weather improves for you MJ.  I can't wait to see the pics.

Ride safe, & have a great trip.

Damn few, so far. One grey mountain in the clouds against a gray sky through
the rain looks pretty much like another one. And forget the gorgeous
landscapes - they've disappeared in the fog. Or cloud - depending on
altitude. Current weather forecasts show the weather clearing up in this
area the day I leave and head west. Riding, no doubt, into another wet
front.

And then there's the "How waterproof is my camera?" question. :-(

Rode through Salzburg on Friday and thought of you. Didn't stop or look at
anything - just rode through. Was fairly bummed at the time as a Bancomat
had just eaten my ATM card.

Very nice...  You go somewhere in Europe every year, yes?

Dysart asked:

[Dave]  In case MJ is busy carving corners...  I believe it is every year, but certainly several under his belt.

Last year MJ helped Carol & I plan for our 2 week trip.  He had cost breakdown spreadsheets, 'must see' stuff, etc.  Very helpful and we had a great time.

Unless some 'too good to be true' rates come up, I'm probably going to miss this year, but if that's the case I'm probably going to shoot for Isle of Man next year.  If not that, back to the alps.

I try. I missed 2005 since I thought that the exchange rate was too high.

Now that I don't have to drop $125+ per day to rent a bike (I'm storing one
of mine over here), it may be multiple trips.
