Here is an open source speech recognition program

Dr Herbert Grassner at IDABC yesterday said it works really well for
him in is work as an Austrian judge, so I guess it must be pretty
reliable.

It could fill the speech recognition gap. Does anyone want to try it
out with English and see if it provides control as well as text entry?
