Can anything be done about deploying the project sites for plugins hosted on mojo?

It is seriously slow compared to apache site deploy, i.e. I usually have to leave it run for an hour or so to deploy, and if anything goes wrong, back to square one again (and there's I estimate a 1 in 3 chance of something going wrong with uploading at least one of the files in a site)

it is because of webdav wagon, where files are copied individually
