I think an additional and very simple module can be a quip list (also known as "message of the day", where the "of the day" part is configurable) which can be a decoration for many applications. The same structure can be used to provide hint tips or something similar...

Waiting for votes....

I was thinking about a visits module, something like http://www.phpmyvisites.us with the same detail level and reports, including the world map distribution using the http://www.maxmind.com/app/geoip_country APIs.

It could be useful as almost any other tool I've seen depends on web server logging facilities (webalizer and stuff like that) while our own module will be server independent. On the counter part we need to log a lot of informations on a per request basis to provide this kind of informations so we need to strongly monitor performance issues to avoid bottlenecks and degradation. Obviously it will be a module, so it could be activated only in environments on which performance issues are not so strict.

I think we should vote for this module. Let me know your opinions and comments.
