SoU Pre-survey questionnaireHello all, The first part of the 2009 Season of Usability user research studies is up and running- and we want you to participate! In the SoU project this summer, we're looking to better understand Gallery's users. We seek to learn more about how people use photo management tools in general, what's important to them when using these tools, and, ultimately, how Gallery can continue to improve to meet user needs. The first step is a general pre-survey questionnaire to better understand how people use photo-management tools: their motivations, their tasks, and what qualities they find most desirable in these tools. With this general questionnaire, we seek to cast a wide net (both those who use Gallery and those who may use other photo-management or sharing tools) to help inform and shape a more focused, larger-scale user survey in the weeks to come. This questionnaire will take approximately 20 minutes. If you participate, we ask that you also participate in the larger-scale survey that will follow in the weeks to come. The questionnaire is available here: We look forward to your participation. Thanks! Cheers, Julia For more information about the project, please visit: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ __[ g a l l e r y - d e v e l ]_________________________ [ list info/archive --> http://gallery.sf.net/lists.php ] [ gallery info/FAQ/download --> http://gallery.sf.net ] |

Re: SoU Pre-survey questionnaireHi Julia,
Just one issue with the survey (i have written this in the notes of my entry as well). On the question "how many people view your gallery". This question needs a further detail to give it meaning. If it was a family album i could have easily answered "approximately 20". My gallery is public and gets approximately 1,600 unique viewers per month (or 19,200 per year). This field only allows number entries, so i have no way of explaining the number is a daily/monthly/yearly/total figure. The field also allows numbers only so my entry of "19200 per year" wasnt allowed through. Rest of the survey was fine though. Cheers, Chris
