etc? I need to use this in my test lab to demonstrate some concepts to

I can't remember the name but there is a new app as part of the nmap
suite that does the same job as hping2 but also allows you to see the
traffic in much more detail. Fyodor was talking about it on a recent
episode of Securabit.

It has the ability to create network packets using a variety of
protocols (tcp, udp, icmp) with whatever flags you need.
It also offer the ability to read a file to send data across the
network.

Ya scapy would be a really nice choice . But its more comfortable to
use scapy on *nix based systems or probably u could use a packet
generation library like libdnet and come up with your own code.
