I'm a newbie to Linux and just recently installed Sylpheed-Claws 2.1.1.
This is a great program, very fast and lots of functions (too many
perhaps ;-). I have a simple problem. I want a sound notification of
new mail, just a simple system beep. I know there is the command 'tput
bel' and that works when I type it in a terminal and press 'Enter'. But
I can't get it to work in Configuration > Preferences > Receive > Run
Command. Do I have to write a script, what would be the right syntax?

PS: Another thing: Why don't new emails (with no filter applied) don't
show up in the Inbox automatically? How can that be set?
