Spain this spring

My husband and I are thinking of traveling to Spain this spring.  We are
hoping to see the Spanish specialties - lifers and new European birds.

We would love to have suggestions on where to bird, where to stay, the best
time to be there, trip reports and local guides.
Many thanks,
Dana and Bob Fox

We are interested in a birding trip to Bhutan.  We know that both
Field Guides and Victor Emmmuel lead tours to Bhutan.  Has anyone had
any experience with either of these companies' tours of Bhutan?  Is
there another tour group that you would recommend?  Thanks, Lynn and

Hi Malcom

I am one of the owners of Tropical Birding so you can disregard my response if you like. Besides those two, we offer trips there as do a few other reputable companies. The cost varies dramatically without any difference in quality of accommodations. The choice should be made on the style of guiding you are after, as this is the one real difference between companies.
Cheers

BIRDCHAT Digest - 31 Oct 2009 to 1 Nov 2009 (#2009-302)Rockjumper Birding Tours also has trips to Bhutan...I haven't gone (yet...I can always hope!) but I had a great experience with them in South Africa.  No relation, no business interest, etc., etc.

I had a great day birding near Barcelona w/ Stephen Christopher of Catalan
Bird Tours in Nov. 2007. Website: http://www.catalanbirdtours.com/Spain%
20birding/Llobregat%20birding%20trips.html

I also had a great guide for a full day around Madrid; unfortunately, I
cannot remember the name of the company or guide! There are definitely a
number of good birds in the area, though.
