Specifying actions for device nodes
I'd like to set up Rox-filer so that, when I click on a device node in /dev/, it attempts to run pmount on it. I know this is not the "right" way to do the job, but it is much simpler than dealing with the current dbus/udisks/consolekit/policykit mess.
So far, I've managed to create menu options for the device nodes which can run pmount or pumount on them. These work fine. But it seems Rox doesn't support setting a default action for device nodes. Is there a way around this, or will I have to be content with the menu entries? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable. Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes sense of it. IT sense. And common sense. http://p.sf.net/sfu/splunk-d2dcopy2 _______________________________________________ rox-users mailing list rox-users@... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/rox-users |

You could try editing can_set_run_action() in type.c and run_diritem() in run.c to allow it. -- Dr Thomas Leonard http://0install.net/ GPG: 9242 9807 C985 3C07 44A6 8B9A AE07 8280 59A5 3CC1 GPG: DA98 25AE CAD0 8975 7CDA BD8E 0713 3F96 CA74 D8BA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All the data continuously generated in your IT infrastructure contains a definitive record of customers, application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity and more.
