Split\Dual pane view in nautilus

Will there ever be a split or dual pane view function in Nautilus?? That is the only missing feature Nautilus hasn't got that most file managers have these days.
Until Nautilus gets this feature, I use KDE's Dolphin as a file manager and have my friends use Dolphin as well.
Keeping apps simple is great but when things are too simple the app won't fit your needs and becomes fairly useless as a tool.
