StarBase Connector for MySQLI tried to install the Connector for MySQL for my registered version of
StarOffice but the link goes to the openoffice.org site and when trying to install it says it is only for OpenOffice. Is this true? Is there a version for StarOffice? The error message shown in this case is misleading since it claims to require OpenOffice.org 3.1, but this is a general bug in our extension infrastructure, not related to the MySQL Connector extension. Re: StarBase Connector for MySQLHi Larry,
please can you point me to the place where you have seen that the extension is for OpenOffice.org only? On the following website it is (IMHO) clearly marked for OOo and StarOffice: http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/mysql_connector Thanks Marcus Larry Callaghan wrote: > I tried to install the Connector for MySQL for my registered version of > StarOffice but the link goes to the openoffice.org site and when trying > to install it says it is only for OpenOffice. But technically, an extension comes with embedded information about the minimum/maximum program version it is intended for. And this information is not branded, that is, the extension claims to be for "OpenOffice.org 3.1". Our extension framework sadly does not "brand" this before showing it to the user, so no matter whether you install the extension in StarOffice or StarSuite or BrOffice or OpenOffice.org - if it's the wrong version, you'll get an error message saying the "OpenOffice.org 3.1" is required. Not sure whether there already exists an issue for this.
