Status of TG scheduler projects?

Hi everybody,

ticket #2396 [1] has led me to the discovery that the TG scheduler was
extracted as an external project hosted on code.google.com [2]. I see
that several TG maintainers are listed as project owners for this project.

What is the status of this project?

- Why was it extracted into an external project? Probably to be usable
in TG2 right?
- Why is it hosted on code.google.com and not in the TG SVN repository?
- Is this actively maintained?
- If so, who is the actual maintainer (Vince Spicer?)?
- Will it be maintained for the foreseeable future?
- Is it kept in sync with the TG 1 version?
- Will it be updated to the new devlopments in Irmen de Jong's version [3]?

The reason I'm asking all these questions is that if this project will
be actively maintained, I'd like to remove it from the TG 1.5 core or at
least deprecate it. But for this to happen, we need to be sure that it
will be maintained and I'd also prefer it to be hosted on
svn.turbogears.org.

Chris

yes,

because it was done by "a third party"

I believe so, vinces is using it in prod.

+1 although I'll prefer it to be it's own hg repo. even if it stays in
google code.

Hi Jorge,

thanks for your answers. I wrote to Vince directly as well and he gave
me some more information in private email.

Any particular reason for this? I would prefer that is hosted on
svn.turbogears.org, because then we could add maintainers ourselves in
case it is ever abandoned. But I'm not fixed on this.

that can be done with hg.turbogears.org, my preference is for
mercurial over svn rather than the actual URL.
