Re: Status of repo1.maven.orgAs of 12:55 PM PDT I am able to access Maven Central from my iPhone via EDGE network, but not via my company's internal network via proxy.
I am guessing that the problem lies somewhere in the network cloud such that some network providers are accessible and some are not.

Re: Status of repo1.maven.orgI just verified that I can NOT get to either of the ibiblio mirrors in the US (I am located in the Pacific Northwest).
However I can get to the Chinese, Danish and Spanish mirrors. Mirrors Repositories <http://docs.codehaus.org/display/MAVENUSER/Mirrors+Repositories>

Re: Status of repo1.maven.orgibiblio itself seems to be fine. For those of you that can't hit it, try
traceroute-ing it. I think it might be: http://tech.slashdot.org/tech/08/10/31/0439245.shtml On Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 4:21 PM, stug23 <pat.podenski@...> wrote: > > I just verified that I can NOT get to either of the ibiblio mirrors in the > US > (I am located in the Pacific Northwest). > > However I can get to the Chinese, Danish and Spanish mirrors. > > Mirrors Repositories > <http://docs.codehaus.org/display/MAVENUSER/Mirrors+Repositories> > > > > stug23 wrote: > > > > As of 12:55 PM PDT I am able to access Maven Central from my iPhone via > > EDGE network, but not via my company's internal network via proxy. > > > > I am guessing that the problem lies somewhere in the network cloud such > > that some network providers are accessible and some are not. > > > > > > > > mclark_114 wrote: > >> > >> Does anyone know what he status of repo1.maven.org is. RE: Status of repo1.maven.orgIt's been ok here all day...all our corp servers are on Contegix so we
would certainly notice if it dropped out ;-) -----Original Message----- From: Nikolas Everett [mailto:nik9000@...] Sent: Friday, October 31, 2008 4:31 PM To: Maven Users List Subject: Re: Status of repo1.maven.org ibiblio itself seems to be fine. Re: Status of repo1.maven.orgThe problem is likely caused by a legal issue between Sprint and Cogent.

Re: Status of repo1.maven.orgHere is another update from Slashdot regarding the problem between Sprint and Cogent:
<http://tech.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=08/11/03/0143239&from=rss> Of course all of this is interesting for folks to discuss and debate ..... however the real question is: "What are those of us that have been cutoff from Maven Central Repo supposed to do?" Is the best solution to point at one of the mirrors in another country? Or? <http://docs.codehaus.org/display/MAVENUSER/Mirrors+Repositories>

RE: Status of repo1.maven.orgI checked with Contegix on this. They reset some routes yesterday to
work around these issues. If you're still having trouble reaching repo1.maven.org, please send some traceroute output they can further refine the routes. -----Original Message----- From: stug23 [mailto:pat.podenski@...] Sent: Sunday, November 02, 2008 9:36 PM To: users@...
