Stering Issues

My son layed down my bike and in the accident the forks were bent and the Tripple Tree Stop on the frame neck was pushed off to the left.  I installed a new/used tripple tree and forks, tightened the tripple tree to where I had no play but still moved freely.  When I road tested the bike the front end seems to wonder back and forth.  I've gone back and checked the clamping of the forks in the tripple tree and all seems fine.  I've loosened the and tightened the tripple tree and tested and nothing changed.  I've removed all air pressure from the fork tubes still no change.  The axle shaft slipped thru just fine but the front wheel doesn't seem to spin totally free, could be the brake drag???

Any ideas???
