Stock items not appearingHello,
I'm in a doubt related to perp_orders/inventory. I have some items registered in my stock, but when I try to create a new sales order that items are not found. I would like to know what informations are essential for the stock items and how can I make it appear in sales orders. Can you explain for me? Since now, thanks and regards |

First, make sure you have at least one sales area (usually your city), sales category (Stuff, Computers, etc.) and sales type (Store, MSRP, Manufacturer Direct). You need at least one price list, configured for the correct sales category, etc. Then you need to set the price for that item on that price list. Items that are not available on a price list are not sold. Did you set the AR config option 'Use individual client price lists / discounts' option to true? If so, that requires an extra step. If not, you should be able to create a sales order (with an order date after the price's effective date), and at least that one item should show up. The most common things to go wrong are: - No price list for the client's sales area / sales type - Price list is not effective on the order date - Price is set to N/A for the order date Some other things to check: 1. GL -> New Journal Entry. See if the Account box will drop down. 2. AR -> New Invoice. See if the client box will drop down. Re: Stock items not appearingHello Nathan, Constant,
I discovered a strange behavior in perp_orders, when adding a new sales order. If I start the order searching for stock items to add to the order, the items are showed normally, the search works and I get to add lines in the sales order. However, if I fill the other fields related to the client, the stock items search stop working and not get any item. Does it make sense?

It sounds like that client is not allowed to purchase anything, for some reason. Try constant's suggestion of turning on individual price lists. Set the AR config option 'Use individual client price lists / discounts' option to true, then explicitly allow your client's account access to your price list. Re: Stock items not appearingNathan,
I checked the AR config option 'Use individual client price lists / discounts' and it's true. - My price list has client's sales area / sales type - Price list is effective - All prices are set to a value; - in GL -> New Journal Entry. The Account box is dropping down. - in AR -> New Invoice. The client box dropping down. I don't understood what means "turning on individual price lists...explicitly allow your client's account access to your price list." Can you explain for me? Re: Stock items not appearing.
Hi, In Admin->Accounts Receivable near the top you'll see: Use individual client price lists / discounts Tick that check box, then go to: Accounts Receiveable->Clients->edit client->Accounts tab->edit account And tick the check box/s for the price list/s you want available to that customer. Regards J.D.

Re: Stock items not appearingHi,
I followed your tips and I found the field about prices, but there's no options to select. When creatinhg price lists, I don't have any optios that indicate wich customer can access the price list. How can I do this? regards,

Re: Stock items not appearing.
You do it on an individual customer basis, and it's done in the client account section, not in Sales Orders. In the client account section, if everything else has been setup correctly, there should be the correct price list/s for that client available to tick the check box to use it/them. If you don't have a price list appearing then I would suggest doing the things Nathan said about: - No price list for the client's sales area / sales type or currency - Price list is not effective on the order date - Price is set to N/A for the order date Some other things to check: 1. GL -> New Journal Entry. See if the Account box will drop down. 2. AR -> New Invoice. See if the client box will drop down. Regards J.D.

Re: Stock items not appearing.
Hi, You need to setup price lists in Sales Orders and associate the item with a price list. Regards John

Re: Stock items not appearingHi constant,
forgive me, I didn't explain me correctly. I already set a price list and associated the items with the sales category of my price list (in the tab "pricing" of the stock items), but maybe something else should to be done, because when I edit my price list and it shows the stock items, the filed "Price" of each item is set to N/A and I can't change it. What can I do? One more information: Price list Effective To* 01/09/2009 and Price changes effective at* 31/08/2009 Thanks for patience, regards

>pERP do? Nathan, I already understood what I was making wrong. Price list was effective to a past date. Forgive me. Only one more silly doubt: is there a way to make a price list effective since now, or always it will be effective on next day? Thanks. |
