Re: New facility to search Help files

I tried this and it locks up SC. As a matter of fact, if I try to open the help files directly in SC they lock up. I remember being able to do this. Has something changed?

Also, every time I open any new help file (in Firefox) it warns that it's an application downloaded from the web. Any way to fix this?

had the same problem after installing on windowsXP.
maybe have one very simple solution, worked for me :P
what I didn´t know was you need to hold Ctrl and press Enter to activate some line of code.
f.ex.
x = {SinOsc.ar(499)}.play;
put the curser after ...play;|
and press Ctrl+Enter

to stop the sound, you write the code
x.free;
and do the same with cursor & Ctrl+Enter.

I'm not sure if that isn't a bit harsh. As I understand; a lot of people on here develop and work on the Windows platform. I'm greatful for the work that's been done. I did get a reply in the end from Juan Gabriel Alzate Romero and yourself, so thanks to you guys. Asio4All's a bit fiddly, but my only solution for now.

I must say though. I don't like the layout of the forum and I keep getting errors and emails saying my message wasn't submitted, when I did appear to get replys. Very strange.

I did try s.latency = ..., which appeared to action a localhost post window response, but do little to the actual popping I'm getting. Hmm . .

method leads to a SCLang process which is blocking my computer (nearly)
completely.
does anyone has the same problem?

ok, I'm sorry that stupid question. I've used this almos always with
(0@0) @ (w@h) and looked ok, but ofcourse, beacuse of the first
coordinates... so I thought it was like building a Rect. Well, sorry
again, my error, and thanks Alberto for the "corner @ (corner +
width)". :-)

to quote some well known flacks.

I do know they do offer audio rate patches - yet, the approach doesnt
really interface 'fully'. I could as well call r3aktwer ( =) doesnt do
it better.

no - I am not anti MSP.
ppl do what they can with the tools they get.
