After entering the command  ps ax|grep dbus
This is what I get...


875 ?        Ss     0:01 dbus-daemon --system --fork
1566 ?        Ss     0:00 /usr/bin/ssh-agent /usr/bin/dbus-launch --exit-with-session /usr/bin/pulse-session gnome-session
1569 ?        S      0:00 /usr/bin/dbus-launch --exit-with-session /usr/bin/pulse-session gnome-session
1570 ?        Ss     0:00 /bin/dbus-daemon --fork --print-pid 7 --print-address 9 --session
2834 pts/0    S+     0:00 grep --color=auto dbus

dbus is running, and the activation file for sync-engine is in place.

What happens if you run synce-list-partnerships ?
