System.Media Soundplayer in OSX 10.5.8 - dead?

The soundplayer class, which worked for us previously, has suddenly stopped working.  We suspect that the OsX 10.5.8 update killed it.  We're going to find and run some additional tests on a pre-10.5.8 box to confirm this.

Has anyone else run into this problem?
