TB3 port

Hi,

I have ported this extension to TB3. I did not care on backward
compatibility - i.e. most probably it will not work on TB2 anymore.

It was mostly trial-and-error task as I'm not really familiar with all
the thunderbird addon API. It works at least on my local folders. I have
not tried POP and IMAP.

Is there a place where I can upload it?

greets,
ron

Ok, meanwhile I have access to the project pages. So, is it ok to just
put the ported xpi beside the other regular releases and add a link from
the project home page?

The TB3 port of 0.7.4 is now downloadable for all!
See the decent link in the "What's New" section on the project page.

NOTE: It will not work in TB2 anymore!

If there are any issues just report them here.

... and thanks Pawel for writing this great extension!

Have fun,
ron

first of all: thank you for this essential extension and for porting to TB3.

I use TB3Beta4 on Suse Linux (11.1) and redirect does not work at all
for me. If I choose redirect nothing happens, no action, no error and
file jconsole.txt is empty.

Is there anything I missed?

Andreas

Well, I guess they have renamed some stuff in Beta4. Are you required to
use the Beta4 or can you use Beta3 instead? Unfortunately my
distribution (Fedora 11) is still at Beta3...

At home where I use a Linux System I even can wait until the release of
TB3. At work I have to use a WinXP system and and I _really_ like the
new gloda search introduced in Beta4. So that's my problem: at work I'm
very often using the redirect function and I would like to stay with at
least Beta4. I will test mailredirect next week with my Windows system
and then tell you about my results. Perhaps Windows behaves different...

Many thanks for your help,
Andreas

I have another small quirk with mailredirect: at work we use an ldap
server for internal email addresses. If I do normal forwarding I get
these addresses as a drop down box when I type in the first letters of
the name. In the mailredirect address field only my local addressbooks
seems to be used. There are no ldap email addresses in the drop down list.

Cheers,
Andreas

System (with ldap access):
Win XP SP2
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.1.4pre)
Gecko/20090915 Lightning/1.0pre Thunderbird/3.0b4
MailRedirect: 0.7.4 with maxVersion modified in install.rdf and Daves
patch (20090919)

Have you tried the latest from http://mailredirect.mozdev.org/ ? This
should be fixed since end of September.

I can confirm this problem even with the latest version, downloaded today.
I use TB3b4 in Vista with ldap connection to Windows AD on our own Win28k server.
Keep up your good work!
