I see that TED is inviting "local, ad-hoc, TED-branded events"

and that the Tamaya Resort is promoting one "real soon"
    http://www.amiando.com/CZVDEHI.html?page=323452

This looks like a good event to host at sfX (similar to ignite!) as part
of a membership drive.

Does anyone already know about this?

  I talked to one of the guys organizing the event  at Tamaya  
yesterday... it sounds like they may have a big event(hundreds of  
people), but also mentioned that TEDx has certain rules that have to  
be followed.

I'd be interested in see how the one in ABQ goes, which is on the 22nd  
of this month, same day as the Albuquerque BarCamp http://www.barcamp.org/BarCampAlbuquerque
