TRE

I have read that the TRE doesn't increase power at wide opened throttle in  
any gear or rpm, it only increases power at less than full throttle. If this is
 the case, then for a bike that is used as a play bike, there would be no  
benefit. Just crack the throttle open more. Any thoughts from those that have  
used one?
